Winter!: Prepare for holiday gaming!
I have a love/hate relationship with CO.... after playing for 4 years, I've seen a lot of changes - things I like, things I hate, things I tolerate. The game itself is addicting. The player drama is something I could live without. No matter what you do, drama follows. (Thank goodness for filters.) I do wish it wasn't as social as it is. Lot of botters/modders, but TQ has really been beating them down. There has been a lot of new additions recently, and with the release of CO 1.0 servers we were very excited to play old-school CO. Don't let them fool you... it is NOT classic CO 1.0. ("Classic CO" servers are a complete joke.) I would rather stay with the (DragoBall) bulkers on the 2.0 servers than start on a fourth server that claims to be classic.
It's not a 3D MMORPG, but the graphics aren't terrible. Character designs are decent, some look a little odd. It's open PvP (except one city and the market), so if you are tolerant of noob pkers you'll be alright. There IS a lot to do; quests, special events, PvP arena function (new), Guild Wars, Clan Wars (new), hunting, if you like to level chars there are plenty of maps and mobs. Steeds are new, talismans unbalanced the game (talismans are for chars 100+, but if you don't have them, you are not really a match for other players), and ninjas with a skill called Toxic Fog are quite bothersome. You build your equipment, make it better and level it as you level. There is non-reborn, 1st reborn and 2nd reborn - you can make pure class characters (ie - pure trojan) or you can mix it up (ie - ninja-warrior-water tao). There are lots of skills to level, lots of weapons to try out, special features for certain classes, epiphany spells for reborns.
I will probably play this game until I can find something else to direct my OCD to.
